Gargoyles.

The origins of the gargoyles were shrouded in mystery, but one thing was certain: they were creatures of darkness, born from the shadows and haunting the night.

According to legend, the first gargoyle came into being during the medieval ages, when a group of stone masons were commissioned to create a series of statues for a grand cathedral. As they worked, the masons became obsessed with their creations, pouring all of their skill and craftsmanship into the stone figures. One night, as the masons toiled away in the cathedral, a bolt of lightning struck the building, imbuing the statues with an otherworldly energy. The stone figures came to life, their twisted bodies and grotesque faces a reflection of the masons' twisted minds. The gargoyles were born, and they quickly spread throughout the land, preying on the innocent and causing terror wherever they went. No one knew how to stop them, and they seemed to be indestructible, able to regenerate even the most devastating injuries. As the years passed, the gargoyles became a part of folklore, a cautionary tale told to children to keep them from wandering outside at night. But deep down, everyone knew that the gargoyles were real, and that they were still out there, lurking in the darkness, waiting for their chance to strike.
