Azukiarais.

Once upon a time, in a small village nestled in the heart of the mountains, there lived a group of people known as the Azukiarais. They were a peaceful tribe, known for their love of agriculture and their devotion to the gods of the land.

One day, a great drought swept through the village, causing crops to wither and die. Desperate for a solution, the village elder consulted the gods through a ritual of divination.

The gods revealed that the village had angered them by neglecting to offer regular sacrifices, and the only way to appease them was to sacrifice one of their own. The villagers were horrified at the thought, but they knew that they had no choice.

The sacrifice chosen was a young girl named Azuki. She was a kind and gentle soul, beloved by all in the village. The villagers reluctantly led her to the altar, tears streaming down their faces.

But as the knife was about to fall, Azuki suddenly rose from the altar, her eyes glowing with an otherworldly power. She spoke in a voice not her own, revealing that the gods had possessed her body to punish the village for their neglect.

From that day forth, the Azukiarais were forever changed. They were cursed to live forever as the spirits of the gods, condemned to roam the earth, taking human sacrifices to appease their wrath. And so, the Azukiarais continue to roam the earth, seeking to sacrifice the unsuspecting villagers to quench their eternal thirst for blood.

And those who hear their haunting cries in the dead of night know to run, for the Azukiarais have come to claim their sacrifice.
