Dybbuk.

According to Jewish folklore, the dybbuk is a malicious spirit that can possess the living. The word "dybbuk" comes from the Hebrew word "dibbuk," which means "attachment."

The origins of the dybbuk are somewhat murky, but one popular story tells of a young man named Daniel who was deeply in love with a woman named Rachel. However, Rachel was betrothed to another man, and Daniel was heartbroken. In his desperation, he turned to dark forces and made a pact with a powerful demon, offering his soul in exchange for Rachel's love.

The demon agreed and granted Daniel's wish. Rachel fell deeply in love with him and they were married. However, the demon did not forget about its part of the bargain. On the night of their wedding, it came to collect Daniel's soul. Rachel was devastated when Daniel's body went cold and he did not wake up the next morning.

But Daniel's soul did not rest. It became trapped in a bottle, unable to move on to the next life. And so it became a dybbuk, a restless spirit that could possess the bodies of the living. It roamed the earth, seeking revenge on those who had wronged it in life and causing chaos wherever it went.

To this day, the dybbuk is still out there, waiting for its next opportunity to claim a body and wreak havoc.
